AI 기반 기후 변화 연구
지구 온난화에 따른 극한 기상 및 기후 현상의 변화 특성을 진단하기 위한 AI 기반 기후 변화 분석 기법을 개발합니다. 기후 변화 시나리오 시뮬레이션과 최신 관측 데이터를 활용하여 다양한 기후 신호가 혼재된 데이터에서 지구 온난화와 관련된 신호를 분리하는 학습 방법을 연구합니다. 이를 통해 미래 기후 변화에 따른 극한 기후 발생 가능성과 변화 특성을 정량적으로 분석합니다.
We develop AI-based methods to diagnose changes in extreme weather and climate events associated with global warming. By utilizing climate change scenario simulations and the latest observational datasets, we investigate learning approaches that can separate global-warming-related signals from mixed climate signals. Through this research, we aim to quantitatively analyze the likelihood and characteristics of extreme climate events under future climate change.
